Help Spread the Love of Christ!

Join with me, Pastor Jody Shaw in conquering the world for Christ.

So very simple!

HUG Crusade groups are dynamic fully independent Christian outreach groups progressing through a perpetual life cycle of growth, division, and multiplication. Groups are strongly encouraged to grow by reaching out to the unchurched within their community.

Start your own HUG Crusade outreach group in your community, then help your group launch two others. That's it! By performing these simple tasks you will be helping conquer the world for Christ.

It is the goal of the two groups you launch to each launch two additional HUG Crusade groups, and the goal of those groups will to be each launch two additional groups. (Of course, there is no reason to stop with launching just two groups.) The chain continues from community to community across the world.

The apostle Paul himself set the example for this practice as he went about establishing churches.

continued below...

It's all about relationships.

The HUG Crusade is all about spreading the gospel of Christ through relationships. The groups accomplish their goals by building on existing relationships and establishing new relationships through the performance of outreach projects within their community and drawing upon those relationships to form additional groups.

Conquer your community through service.

The HUG Crusade focuses on outreach and public service. God himself encourages outreach and charity.

"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore, I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land." (Deuteronomy 15:11 NIV)

We believe that outreach is of such importance that each HUG Crusade group is challenged to perform a dozen simple, easy to accomplish outreach projects each year, encouraging the participation of as many of their group as possible. Groups are encouraged to keep their projects simple and well within the financial means of the members of their groups. It is through these projects that relationships are built and new groups established.

Outreach projects can help grow your group, serve the needs of your community and start new groups as well as build strong bonds between your group members. But most importantly, community service/outreach projects help lead others to salvation through Christ.

Groups are provided a downloadable list of simple projects which they can choose to perform, or they can develop their own projects suitable for their local community.

For Groups of Two to 100 or More!

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." (Matthew 18:20 NIV)

The HUG Crusade is designed to offer an exceptional Christian experience regardless of the size of your group. All groups from the most modest to the largest can benefit by association with The HUG Crusade.

Not Just Church Groups...

"Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak, I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I might share in its blessings." (The apostle Paul: 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 NIV)

HUG Crusade groups do not have to be associated with a church. Any group of Christians can band together to reach out into their community. For example, your group may consist of:

  • A group comprised of Christian residents of a single subdivision.

  • A group of Christian golfers.

  • A group of Christian who work at the same company.

  • Christians who reside in the same apartment community.

  • A group of Christians who are members of the same civic or business group.

  • A Christian family who bans together to perform outreach projects.

  • A group Christian friends who want to share God's love.
