Due to the souring economy, for the first time the City of Stockbridge, Georgia was opening up their Holiday Festival to private companies and the Out-Team was there! We understand that in the past, the event was purely a city sponsored event with no private attractions or vendors.

This year the event was held at the Merle Manders Conference Center and Clark Community Park, a lovely setting for such a wonderful Christmas festival. Situated just north of old "downtown" Stockbridge the park and conference center plays hosts to an assortment of events year round.

The Out-Team arrived with beads, yarn, coloring pages, crayons and word find games. Spreading them out across four tables in a square, the Out-Team welcomed children of all ages. Team members hand-crafted beaded necklaces in the shape of crosses, using colored beads selected by the children and some adults). The coloring pages were almost as big of a hit as the necklaces, with some children ignoring other attractions at the festival and spending almost the entire evening coloring.

While we were not allowed to actively promote Christianity or our church, we were allowed to talk to people who visited our table, and talk we did. We did not save any souls that night but we planted a lot of seeds, seeds which we pray will feed upon the Holy Spirit and grow into fruit for Christ.
